Two years ago, Happy Joe announced plans to shift our focus towards medical cannabis for veterans. We invested six months researching the benefits medical marijuana provided to veterans battling Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injuries, anxiety, and other health related issues. The discoveries were amazing!
It didn’t take long to realize this was a topic we were extremely passionate about and an industry Happy Joe had to be in. Mental wellness and a healthy lifestyle is critical for any human, particularly our military veterans. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to place our plans on hold until the right time. That time is now.
Focusing on medical cannabis for veterans.
Starting immediately, Happy Joe will begin winding down operations of our freelancing marketplace for the military community. While we’ve had success providing work to veterans and military spouses, we believe it’s time to focus 100% of our efforts on medical cannabis for veterans.
What about Happy Joe Pros?
Happy Joe will continue to refer potential projects to our network of professionals. We are also in discussion with an amazing company, owned by military spouses, about merging our program into their business. We’ll keep you in the loop with this development.
Our future is mental wellness and medical cannabis.
To say I’m really excited about the future of Happy Joe would be a huge understatement! Finding happiness and well being is something I’ve struggled with in the past. Operating in a space where I get to help others discover their happiness, well being, and pain relief will be extremely rewarding.
Happy Joe will concentrate our efforts in the following areas:
- Education. Equipping the military community with the right information to make wise decisions regarding their health is critical to our mission.
- Interviews. We will share stories of veterans who have benefited from the use of medical marijuana.
- Workshops. Happy Joe will offer local workshops to help people get the right answers and access to valuable resources.
- Loyalty Program. Veterans and military spouses enrolled in our program will receive product discounts and free merchandise.
- Products. Happy Joe will partner with companies in the cannabis industry to ensure our veterans get the best medicine and products for their needs.
Marching into unknown territory.
I also admit this path into the cannabis industry is scary.
While medical cannabis is now legal in 29 states, it’s still illegal at the federal level. Pursuing a business in the marijuana industry comes with risks and uncertainty. The cannabis stigma also remains strong in this country, though it’s quickly changing through proper education.
Despite the challenges, I embrace the opportunity for this company to make a huge impact in veteran’s lives.
The new Happy Joe will launch soon.
Our goal is to unveil the new website and what we’re doing in the medical cannabis space on 20 April 2018. Yes, of course we chose 4/20, the international day to support cannabis rights and use.
We’ll be doing some Facebook live events to share more about our decision and what our business services and products will be moving forward. Be sure to keep an eye out for our videos and announcements.
As always, we appreciate the support of our community and clients. It’s because of great people like you we are able to help the men and women who served to protect our freedom. HOOAH!
