Will CBD or hemp products get me high?

Absolutely not!

Happy Joe CBD and hemp based products contain less than 0.3% THC, which is not enough THC to get you high or cause impairment of any kind.

While you can purchase CBD wellness products with higher THC percentages in medical or adult use cannabis legal states, it is federally illegal to ship any product with more than 0.3% THC.

What is the difference between CBD, hemp, and cannabis?

This is a great question and it can be very confusing!

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is one of the 113 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It's the psychoactive ingredient that has a profound or significant effective on your mental processes. THC is what makes you feel high.

THC is currently considered a Schedule 1 on the Controlled Substances List. It is illegal federally but currently legal to use in 30 states.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is another cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. It can be found in both hemp and cannabis, in the flowers or the stalks of the plant. CBD is know for its ability to help a wide variety of health issues. CBD is not psychoactive and will not get you high.

CBD products derived from hemp (less than 0.3% THC) are legal in all 50 states. CBD derived from the marijuana plant (up to 30% THC) is not legal federally but legal in 30 states.

Hemp comes from the stalk of the cannabis plant and has 0.3% or less of THC. You cannot get high from it. Hemp has thousands of uses including wellness supplements, food, textiles, rope, and paper. It's also rich in CBD.

Hemp products and their use is legal in all 50 states. Growing hemp is illegal federally but allowed in certain states.

Are hemp or CBD infused products legal?

This is a difficult question to answer because so much misinformation has been spread and state laws are continually changing.

Federal Laws

Under federal law, CBD (or cannabidiol) is classified as part of the cannabis plant and a Schedule I drug. This means CBD is illegal to use and possess federally.

However, there is also less of a focus and concern on CBD derived or extracted from industrial hemp, which contains trace amounts of THC (0.3% or less) and cannot get you high. The DEA has also said it won't arrest people using CBD as it's a misuse of their resources.

State Laws

To make matters more confusing, each state has their own laws on cannabis or CBD. Some states do not allow the purchase or use of CBD products and others do. CBD is illegal in Ohio and Alabama, while in Oklahoma and Tennessee it isn't. Other states require medical approval.

Based on our research, some state authorities are more lenient, while others or not.

So what does this mean for you?

Ultimately, CBD products are not legal in all 50 states, as it's often cited.

Because laws related to cannabis or hemp are continually evolving, we highly recommend you research the laws governing your state before purchasing and using any CBD or hemp infused product. Make your decision from there.

Happy Joe will continue to offer wellness products sourced from organic hemp with less than 0.3% THC (Full Spectrum) or zero THC (Isolate), though we may at our discretion, stop shipping to states where it's explicitly clear these products are illegal in order to protect our customers.

Will I fail a drug test using CBD products?

If you are using Full Spectrum CBD products derived from industrial hemp, it will contain less than 0.3% THC. You would have to consume excessive amounts of products for this register on a drug test. You should not fail a drug test, but there is a slim possibility it could register trace amounts of THC.

If you are using a CBD Isolate product from industrial hemp, it will have zero THC in it. You definitely will not fail a drug test.

All of our Happy Joe products are Full Spectrum CBD.

What products should I start with?

This is a great question! It really depends on what you want to use CBD for.

CBD Oils and Tinctures

Most people start with CBD oil tinctures of 500mg - 1000mg CBD. They will use this for a variety of health reasons. CBD tinctures are taken sublingually under the tongue and the benefits can last for up to 8 hours.

Happy Joe recommends our Original or Lemon 1000mg CBD tinctures for most needs. Larger milligrams of CBD such as 2000mg or 3000mg should only be used for more severe ailments.

CBD Creams or Topicals

CBD creams and topicals are the second best solution for pain relief. Muscle creams are very effective for sore muscles, joint pain and inflammation. CBD topicals are applied to your skin and rubbed in. Relief can be very quick and last for several hours.

Happy Joe offers a CBD Muscle Cream at 1000mg, though you can find topicals with less CBD content online.

CBD Vapes, Shatter or Crumble

Vaping or smoking CBD infused products is very popular for a variety of reasons. Vaping gives you instant relief -- though it will only last 1-2 hours -- and it's also easy to do on the go. Vaping CBD is also less harmful than smoking.

Vape Concentrate: CBD concentrate is a liquid to be smoked in a vaporizer or vape pen. It's usually available in 250mg, 500mg, 750mg, and 1ooomg strengths and with different flavors.

CBD Shatter: Shatter is a crystal like substance and can be smoked with a vaporizer designed for waxy products. Happy Joe CBD Shatter is~99% pure CBD (zero THC) at 1000mg and currently available in three flavors.

CBD Crumble: Crumble is a waxy substance that can be smoked in vaporizer designed for wax concentrates. Happy Joe CBD Crumble is Full Spectrum (less than 0.3% THC) at 750mg CBD. It's currently available in three flavors.

CBD Coffee

CBD coffee is one of the newest and most popular products in the marketplace. Many Americans love coffee and what better way to infuse CBD into your daily ritual?

CBD coffee is amazing because you get your daily dose of caffeine while reducing the jitters caffeine can cause. It's great for helping you focus while bringing a calming effect over your soul. We LOVE CBD coffee!

Happy Joe has partnered with Strava Craft Coffee to offer two varieties of CBD coffee to you.

CBD Gummies and Other Edibles

Many people enjoy the use of CBD gummies and other edibles. These products typically come in lower, defined dosages making it easier to track how much CBD you consume at one time. CBD gummies and edibles are growing in popularity, though they tend to be more expensive than other options.

How much CBD tincture oil should I take?

Each full tincture dropper contains 1ml of liquid – this liquid will contain approximately 30-40mg of CBD. We recommend you start with a half dropper full and increase your dosage as necessary. As with any supplement, CBD affects each person differently, so it's important to find what works for you individually.

How do I use the crumble or shatter?

The Happy Joe Crumble or Shatter is best consumed by using a vaporizer (vape pen) designed for wax or concentrates. You will inhale and exhale the vaporized liquid.

Crumble or Shatter can also be ingested orally, smoked, or dabbed. Note: CBD vaporizes at a slightly higher temperature than THC.
