It’s been several weeks now since I announced Happy Joe would stop selling CBD. While that decision was one of the hardest of my life, I feel better about it given the recent witch hunt and bullshit scare tactics from the FDA. Today I want to focus on the future of Happy Joe and what we’re going to do to going forward.
Connecting veterans to cannabis is the primary focus.
Despite any governmental agency’s stance on cannabis or CBD, we’re not running from this fight. We believe cannabis can benefit the overall wellness of military veterans and we won’t be silenced on the matter. We will continue to connect veterans to cannabis the best ways we know how.
Which brings me to some new updates!
The beta version of the Happy Joe mobile app has launched.
We’ve been working on a mobile app for six months and it’s finally available for iOS and Android devices. The Happy Joe app is free, and while it’s designed for military veterans, we welcome anyone to use the main features.
The main purpose for this new platform is connecting veterans to cannabis resources to enhance their well-being. Members in our community get access to a variety of benefits including:
- Monthly Giveaways*
- Pop-Up Events*
- Jobs and Careers*
- Ongoing Support *
- Business Promotion
- Rewards Program
- Online Education and Advice
- And more!
Some of our features are only available to *qualified military veterans and all users of our app must be at least 21 years of age. And of course we’ll adhere to state guidelines and other regulations as it relates to product giveaways or events.
I’m personally excited to get this mobile app launched because I believe it feels a great need. We’ve had hundreds of veterans and patriotic Americans ask us for cannabis or CBD advice. This is just one weapon in our arsenal to arm people with trusted information.
Combating suicides and empowering wellness is still our mission.
Many of us have heard the horrific statistics of suicides plaguing our country. From 2005 to 2017, the national suicide rate increased 43.6%, with a 6.1% increase among veterans. This has become an epidemic.
As a person who has personally struggled with suicidal thoughts and mental health problems, this issue is close to my heart, particularly among our nation’s warriors. This is why Happy Joe is using our platform to combat suicides and enhance wellness efforts among our veterans.
Our goal moving into 2020 is to concentrate our efforts on the military community.
This doesn’t mean the other needs among all Americans are less important to us, but rather as a veteran owned company, we know our space very well. We want to make a bigger impact which means we must go smaller in our approach. We’re not trying to be exclusive but effective.
The good news is we’ll still provide advice and share resources with anyone seeking healthier and happier lives. Many of our materials will be available and free to those who want access to them. We welcome anyone to join us in the conversations about cannabis, CBD and overall wellness.
You can support the mission and help others.
Happy Joe can’t make a real impact without the involvement of people like you. Whether you served in the military or just enjoy your freedom as an American, you can support the mission in a variety of ways:
- Download the Happy Joe app to your mobile phone. Test out the app, use the features, provide feedback. All are valuable to us.
- Spread the word about what we’re doing. The more people know, the more we can make a positive impact.
- Shop and smile. We’re launching some new products soon and a portion of each sale benefits veterans in need.
We’re also seeking partnerships with cannabis and CBD brands to provide the best resources to our military veterans. It’s an awesome way to build your brand while reaching a large and loyal audience.
Finally a huge salute to those of you who continue to stand by us.
After we made the announcement to stop selling CBD products, the outpouring of love and encouragement from so many people in our community was incredible. It was also sincerely appreciated in a very dark time.
I know Happy Joe has made several pivots since we launched in 2014. Some of you have been here since the beginning, cheering us on to victory at every turn. Others have championed our cause just recently. Regardless of when you joined us on the journey, I am VERY GRATEFUL to all of you.
I know I’ve said it before, but it’s no less sincere … thank you so much for your support. Hundreds of veterans have been served in a meaningful way because of you. Hopefully thousands more people will benefit from our efforts in 2020 and beyond. Connecting veterans to cannabis is one way to make it happen.
